Meranti mahogany doors are manufactured from square‑sawn timber of three glued together layers, imported from Indonesia. Meranti mahogany is characterized by specific gravity greater than that of pine, as well as higher hardness and resistance to weather. Its wood structure is clearly different from that of pine. Throughout the whole painting process water‑based paints manufactured by the German company SIKKENS are used. In order to provide better door stiffness, on the lock side additional aluminum bracing is used.
